PRIVACY POLICY
1. INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE. Mobidia Technology Inc. (Mobidia) is the sole owner of the information collected on the
http://www.mobidia.com (collectively, the "Mobidia Web Sites" (the "Sites")). We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this policy.
Mobidia collects such information as your name, address, age and e-mail address. We use this information to learn the number of visitors to the Website, the Website's popularity and the pages visited most often for marketing purposes. We also use such personal information to improve the contents of the Website and to assist in selecting and offering products and services to Mobidia members which best suit their needs.
Mobidia does not currently sell or rent information collected from the Website which personally identifies individuals. We may share aggregated demographic information with our business partners, and others. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.
Mobidia may use e-mail addresses of visitors to the Website to solicit their feedback on the quality of the services and products offered at Mobidia and to send them information regarding products and services offered by Mobidia and upcoming Mobidia events, at Mobidia discretion. We may disclose information collected through the Website where we believe in good faith that such disclosure is: a) authorized by law or necessary to comply with legal process, b) in response to legal claims, or c) necessary to protect personal safety, property or other rights of Mobidia and its members.
2. SURVEYS AND CONTESTS.
From time to time we may request information from members and other user of the Sites via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and address), and demographic information (such as zip or postal code, age level). Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of the Sites, a particular event or membership in Mobidia Technology Inc.
From time to time Mobidia may disclose certain information collected on the Website to fulfillment houses and technical consultants with whom Mobidia has subcontracted for maintenance of the Website. Such subcontractors are required to keep this information confidential and only use the information in providing fulfillment or maintenance services to Mobidia.
3. LOG FILES. We use IP (internet protocol) addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses collected on the Website are not linked to personally identifiable information.
4. LINKS TO THIRD PARTIES. The Sites contain links to other sites which offer products and services to Mobidia visitors (for example, companies or associations listed on an Events or Industry pages). These sites have established their own respective policies and practices on the collection and use of personal information gathered from visitors to each linking site. Mobidia, however, may receive information that may be collected from these sites as described below.
Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of the linking sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site to read the privacy policies of each and every linking website that collects personally identifiable information. This Mobidia privacy policy applies solely to information collected by the Mobidia websites. Should you wish to opt out of data collection by any of these sites, please be sure to do so as each such site instructs.
5. COOKIES. Mobidia does not currently use cookies to collect information on visitors to the Sites. Some of our business partners may use cookies on their respective sites. However, we have no access to or control over these cookies. Therefore, please read the privacy policies of other sites linked to this website.
6. SECURITY. We take reasonable precautions on the Sites to protect our users' information. When users submit sensitive information via the Sites, that information is protected from unauthorized disclosure.
Mobidia is committed to maintaining the security of information on the Sites. To try to prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure correct use of information, we have put in place the appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
7. SUPPLEMENTATION OF INFORMATION.
From time to time, we may supplement the information we collect through the Sites with email addresses voluntarily provided by members at the time of enrolment.
8. CHOICE / OPT-IN AND OPT-OUT. We assume that you will not require any information from Mobidia Technology Inc that you can't find on the Sites and that you will actively seek whatever information you want when you want it. On our registration form, we specifically ask you to "Opt-in" to email communications about further information.
You may "Opt-out" of receiving any further communication at the time of registration or at any time after. To do so, please
contact us with your name, address, and e-mail address and we will promptly comply.
Please note that if you are using one of our product and services at the time of request, we might not be able to exclude you from some of our communication lists (for example, if you have downloaded and installed one of our applications and at the time that application is still in use, we can not exclude you from receiving technical notes, update info, changes and such regarding that application).
9. CORRECTION / UPDATING PERSONAL INFORMATION. If a member's personally identifiable information changes (such as your postal or email address) or if a member no longer desires to remain on our email contact list, we will correct, update or remove that user's personal data provided to us.
Contact us with your request and we will address it promptly.
10. NOTIFICATION CHANGES. Mobidia reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy without direct notice to you. However if at any point we decide to change our privacy policy or use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will inform users by way of a prominent notice on the Sites under New & Events or Press Releases and on new Privacy Policy coming in effect. You are responsible for reviewing these pages and informing us of your choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner.
11. CHILDREN.
The Website is not targeted to people under the age of majority. (Age of majority may differ between countries and jurisdictions.) Visitors to this site who are under the age of majority may use the Website only with the supervision and consent of a parent or guardian. At this time, we do not encourage membership in Mobidia Technology Inc for persons under the age of majority.
