Mobidia's recently completed trials with a tier-one European carrier yielded a 15 percent increase in radio access network capacity and more than a 23 percent boost in speed for subscribers.

Mobidia Technology, Inc. today announced performance results from a recent carrier trial of their .wave software platform. Mobidia's .wave provides operators with a revolutionary new software solution that enhances their mobile data networks. The software adds capacity to their existing wireless networks while speeding the delivery of data to their subscribers. The platform also provides carriers with a tool to enhance their data traffic management solutions and collect comprehensive network information about their subscribers' usage activities.

Mobidia's engineering team has just completed a comprehensive three-phase trial, within a "state-of-the-art" facility, at a tier-one European mobile operator. Extensive testing of the .wave solution conclusively demonstrated the positive impact that their technology can have on operators' wireless network performance and efficiency. On average, Mobidia's solution provided a 15 percent increase in capacity utilization on the radio access network (RAN), verifying the impact that the solution can have on decreasing operators' capital and operating expenditures by reducing the need for network build-out.

The trials also confirmed a significant increase in subscribers' quality of experience (QoE). When the Mobidia solution was introduced, data was delivered to subscribers, on average, 1.3 times faster in simulated common subscriber activities such as web browsing, file downloading and video streaming.
